4th of July Picnic Treat: Prosciutto Cantaloupe Appetizer

Tomorrow is the 4th of July! To me, the 4th means cookouts and picnics. If you are heading out on wednesday and need a dish to pass, this is one of the easiest appetizers out there, it’s sweet, it’s salty, it’s delish!

My girls are huge cantaloupe fans, and much like bacon, prosciutto makes everything that much better.

You will need:

One ripe cantaloupe, peeled, seeded and cut into wedges or spears

12 thin slices of prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise

What to do:

Wrap the prosciutto around the melon wedge. (The prosciutto should stick to itself so you should not need a toothpick.)

Keep refrigerated/ chilled until right before serving, Enjoy!

And I am happy to say that this is my inaugural post as part of the SoCal Lady Bloggers!
