**Warning** I’m grumpy tonight. If I were a better Catholic, I’d offer all of these various gripes up for other people in suffering or for souls in purgatory. But I’m still grumpy.
1.
I’m tired. Mainly because as soon as I fall asleep, I have to get up to pee. Repeat 3-4 times a night.
2.
My other favorite preggo moment? When you really feel the urge to go and you race to the bathroom… and nothing happens.
3.
Drivers have been irking me as well. Like the ones that make right turns from the center lane, or the ones that make a left turn (from oncoming traffic) right in front of you.
4.
Tonight, DD1′s teacher sent what I presumed to be an extra worksheet home with DD1. But here’s the thing… there were no instructions. So DD1 and I got into an argument over whether or not she was supposed to cut it up. (I said NO because there were no dashed lines. She said YES because she likes to cut paper.)
5.
I am bloody tired of this flipping heat and humidity. I thought when we left my beloved Midwest I was leaving humidity behind, but it sounds like I brought it with me. Walking across the playground taking DD1 to her class is like walking across the surface of the sun. I may need to invest in one of those parasol thingies.
6.
I attended my first PTA meeting Wednesday night and it was seriously a hot mess. I guess I was expecting more of a “Welcome to the First PTA meeting of the year!” meeting and what we got was a holdover from last year’s budget fight, complete with the PTA president getting pretty huffy and sarcastic. Way to welcome the Kindergarten parents to their first PTA meeting.
7.
Tonight (Thursday) was an overly emotional night here. At a few points in the evening all three ladies of the house were crying. DD1 because I wasn’t building her tower well enough, me because I was feeling like an inadequate mom especially since DD1 is in school and I hardly see her / have time for her it seems, and DD2 because she’s my empathetic one. Maybe are all tired.

Yes, WHY IS IT HUMID IS SOCAL?! We have lost even the smug privilege of saying, “Well, at least it’s a dry heat.” Boo.
Hope your weekend is grump-free.
I am really thinking that “dry heat” thing is a myth…
Oh, I know that frustrated feeling that drives a mama to tears…and I don’t even have pregnancy hormones to blame. Saying a prayer for you!
I was reading some book and one of the characters actually said that in most cases tears are not out of sadness or anger, but out of frustration. It really put things into perspective!
