How do I take my coffee?

Usually 4 creams and 2 sugar or a latte with 2 raw sugar, if you are in a fancy sort of mood.

I am a multi-racial woman, married, mother of three (!), devout Roman Catholic and I guess I would be best described as “neo-traditionalist.” I wear a Chapel Veil or Hat at Mass, I have a serious devotion to St. Mary (because she is such a role model for women and mothers,) and I think that St. Mary Magdalene can teach us all a thing or two. I love to read, knit, crochet, sew, and a good craft beer.

Before I was mom, I was a high school science teacher and education is a passion of mine. The Mister and I pretty much practice attachment parenting and both of my girls were extended breastfeeders (DD1 until 30 mos, DD2 until 26 mos) and I am currently nursing The Moosch (DS.) I hold Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and I currently reside in Pasadena with my husband, two daughters, a son… and a mini-van. Oy.

How do I do it all?

Coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

(How do you think I got the blog name?)

  1. Love your blog…found you through Catholic Mothers online and being a caffeine addict myself, couldn’t resist a visit. I really like your blog and your writing and you put a smile on my face : ) Hope you will visit sometime!

  2. Hello, I just found your blog. Its awesome to find other mommies advocating their faith. My husband and I experienced our conversion (re-version for me) shortly after we were married and our life hasn’t been the same since. We just had our first child, Nathanael (John 1:45) in February and I am excited to teach him about Jesus and the saints. We are big believers and promoters of NFP and love to tell people about TOB. I do enjoy coffee myself but since we are looking to conceive again, I am clean 3 weeks! I have my bachelors in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry (go science!) and cloth diapers ROCK! Keep on blogging! God Bless!

  3. Love your blog! I had the chance to scroll through it and I love Matt Maher and consider myself to be a Neo-trad (hence the name). My husband and I attend the FSSP parish in my hometown and love it. And the only reason I don’t wear a chapel veil right now is because my littlest one chews on it and tears it right off :) And my twins are quite fond of The Imagination Movers as well!

  4. Thank you for being a proud Catholic. I got you blog link from my sis-in-law (Kim, your BFF who asked you to blog about the a book on sexuality by a Religious Sister.) I look forward to reading more of your blogs.
